Hi all,
I just got through installing microsoft reader, and downloaded a book from fictionwise in the microsoft reader format, but jaws doesn't read anything, unless you route the jaws cursor and all that reads is a bunch of numbered graphics. The microsoft home page says if you want to use the text to speech features, down the microsoft text to speech package. Is this microsoft narrator? In any case, is it a huge download? I only have 529 mb of free space now, so I couldn't take a huge download. Ms reader said it looked better with a color resolution higher than 256 color, so I did it. I had to reboot my computer, because a dialogue said some programs might not workwell if I didn't restart my computer now, so I did, and it doesn't seem to bother jaws so far, but it still won't read anything in microsoft reader. The extention for microsoft e book filess is .lit. I guess jaws just can't read the files? so is this text to speech package the microsoft narrator? Thanks,
wonderwoman

There's a whole Microsoft Text-to-speech web site. Do a search for Microsoft speech SDK or something like that. As for only having 529 MB of space, you're cutting it real close; I wouldn't download anything if I were you.

oh well, something tells me I won't get to read much from the site unless it's an occasional short story in mp3. Oh well.
Thanks anyway,
